The plates were a really interesting and apparently well worn process. I had no idea kids have been doing this for years. You draw on paper with crayola markers, send it off to the melamine plate makers and they send you back a lovely plate that is reputed to last for years. The colors are much more vibrant than I thought they would be. This was done as a fund raiser for a friend's friend at church who is having some serious health and thus work issues. I understand it's going to happen again in the Fall. Christmas presents? The trio watercolor is for my sister Tami and her girls...they are coming to visit next weekend. The photo colors are rather muted but you get the idea.
